The year 2021 was successful for us in many ways. The revenues of the Recycling business group increased more than 50 % compared to the previous year. Our new magazine-like annual report brings together both the highlights of the year and our first global Sustainability Report.

Kuusakoski Group Oy’s Annual Report 2021 includes reviews of the Recycling and Foundry business groups, the Report of the Board of Directors and the Financial Statements and Auditor’s Report. Additionally, it contains a theme section and Sustainability Report.

In 2021, our carbon handprint was greater than ever before, both in absolute terms and relative to our carbon footprint.

In the traditional theme section of our Annual Report, we introduce our Energy and Waste Business. Through various articles, not only our employees but also some of our customers are introduced.

TOTAL UTILISATION RATE OF MATERIALS STAGGERING 96,8%

The Annual Report includes our first Sustainability Report compiled according to the GRI standards. It covers, for the most part, our operations globally. The report introduces our Sustainability Programme and details the practical actions we have taken for sustainability in 2021.

A total of 1,178,555 tonnes of recyclable materials were collected in 2021. The total utilisation rate of materials delivered to us was 96,8 %. The emission savings from our operations, our carbon handprint, were greater than ever before, both in absolute terms and relative to our carbon footprint.

The revenues of the Recycling business group amounted to EUR 625.9 million, representing an increase of more than 50% compared to the previous year.

We want to invest in the digital reading experience and publish the Annual Report as a browsable e-magazine for the first time. We hope you enjoy it.
